Counseling Post

A celebratory thank you and shout out to our school site counseling team:  Dora Carrillo, Van Wig Elementary, Luis Salazar, Sunkist Elementary, Veronica Montes, Edgewood Academy, Christopher Figueroa, Torch Middle School, Heidi Gutierrez, Don Julian, Lisa James, Nueva Vista, Hector Armas, Bassett High School, Sandra Torres, Bassett High School, Suyapa Villalvir, Bassett High School, and Marlen Martinez, Bassett Adult School.

It wouldn’t be a celebration without a “National School Counseling Week” appreciation song (to the tune of: I had a little turtle; his name was Tiny Tim…I put him in the bathtub to see if he could swim)

We thank you so much counselors,

For the expertise you bring,

So Kind and open minded,

And Understanding.

Caring and offering suggestions,

Ready to serve each day,

Never judgmental,

Listening carefully all the way.

Sympathetic and encouraging,

We can tell by the words you speak,

That’s why you have your very own

National School Counseling Week! J

Please join us in celebrating our BUSD counselors by thanking them for their contributions to the well-being of all Bassett students.
